Who Is Responsible For Import Duties

We do not know the laws of every country. You are responsible to find out the customs rules of your buyer's country. You need to know whether it is necessary to pay import duties, how much to pay and how to pay them. As a reseller, it is important that you make agreements with your customer regarding who is responsible for import duties. Normally, the recipient or end-user pays the import duties. However, there might be exceptions and it depends on the agreement between the two parties of the transaction.

The supplier will be fully responsible for import duties if:

- There is problem with brand licensing.

- Supplier has combined several orders as a single bulk.
